With an estimated 3.2 million cats entering the shelter system across the U.S. every year, there are clearly many deserving cats and kittens who would love nothing more than to curl up on a warm pillow next to you. Before you bring home a new feline roommate without asking them, there are a few things to consider to ensure a calm meet and greet. In some ways, introducing a cat to a dog is similar to bringing a second dog into your home. But there are particular and important differences that are key to being successful.
